Not only you won’t get any quality sleep during that short time, but you will also confuse your body, which will leave you feeling groggy, not to mention guilty for not getting up on time.

The best way to start your day is to get up when your first alarm rings.

You can also test out different alarm apps. These apps can help you shake off sleep by making you solve a puzzle or a math problem before you can turn off the alarm.

Another way is to put your phone out of your reach, somewhere on the other side of the room. This way you will have to get up to turn it off.

2. Make Your Bed and Let In Fresh Air

Doing this simple chore will give you a pleasant feeling of accomplishment.

The process will get you moving and will help you wake up quicker, so you can treat it like it’s a mini-exercise.

A nicely made bed will make you feel organized and prepared for the day ahead.

3. Exercise

Devote at least 10-15 minutes to some physical activity. It will help wake your mind and body and will get you energized.

You don’t need to run to the gym to do a full-body workout, you can start your day with a quick jog or a walk around the block, gentle stretching, or a yoga sequence.

This way you will mentally prepare yourself, save some time in the morning, and will less likely skip the whole thing. Breakfast is an essential part of your morning. It kick-starts your metabolism and fuels your brain, it also prevents overeating and excessive snacking during the day. Without a well-balanced breakfast, you will lack energy, which will impact your mood and your overall performance.

Opt for Greek yogurt with berries and seeds, hard boil eggs, make a whole-grain toast or a porridge. You can prepare overnight oats to save time in the morning.

5. Journal
