You could also prepare the dip in advance and refrigerate it until you are ready to serve.
Ingredients
To make the dip you will need the following ingredients:
- Sour cream
- Mayonnaise
- Dill and parsley
- Garlic
- Lemon juice
In this recipe, I am using fresh herbs, but if you do not have them at hand, you could easily swap them for dried ones. Just keep in mind, that dried herbs have a more concentrated taste, so I advise using about one-third the amount of dried herbs for the fresh herb.
You could also add other herbs, such as spring onion, spinach, or basil.
For a lighter dip version, use low-fat mayonnaise and sour cream.
How to Make the Dip
The dip is very easy to make. First of all, wash and mince the herbs.
Next, simply combine all ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Taste the dip and add more spices if needed.
Refrigerate covered for 1 to 2 hours to allow flavors to blend.
Serve with your favorite vegetables or crackers.
You can store the leftovers, if any, in the fridge covered for up to 5 days.
